The 2013 Kaohsiung International Container Arts Festival, themed ‘The Inhabitables’, promotes the possibilities of shipping containers as inhabitable spaces for people, with the ultimate goal of achieving better liveability across a spectrum of contexts and functions.
Taking urban culture, especially that of port cities, as its starting point, the book presents a detailed overview of the creative and environmentally friendly concepts shown at the festival, featuring designs by Mecanoo, Sou Fujimoto, Arkhenspaces and others.
