Ercol is a British manufacturer known for high quality traditionally influenced furniture. This chair was called ‘401 Preformed Dining Chair’ when designed by the company owner, combining their first use of formed plywood with traditinal construction for the base. In 2002, production was revived following an initiative by Margaret Howell.
