This month’s issue of A+U features eighty-one self-selected photographs by the renowned architectural photographer Hisao Suzuki. The magazine explores a range of themes in Mr. Suzuki’s portfolio: from contemporary architecture – fruits of his long-term collaboration with El Croquis – landscapes, and his adopted home, Barcelona. We’d like to share this special series of inspiring photographs with his commentary taken at the Cistercian Abbey of Le Thoronet in Provence, France. For Mr. Suzuki, the early thirteenth century stone edifice is a subtle and ever changing tapestry woven by rays of light.
