Capsule, a sibling publication delves into the world of design in its broader definition – one that encompasses interiors and architecture, fashion and technology, ecology and craft – to explore the relationship with desire and consumption. A hybrid between a magazine and a book, paying homage to a lineage of Italian radical design publications while indulging in a lavish physicality, Capsule will be released annually during Milan Design Week. Its title is an homage to the Nakagin Capsule Tower, a symbol of the Japanese Metabolism movement designed by Kisho Kurokawa and built in 1972 in Tokyo, which is currently being disassembled to make way for new development.
