Internationally renowed German painter Günther Förg (1952-2013) teams up with recognized contemporary novelist, poet and film script writer Günter Herburger for a unique collaboration including photos, watercolors antexts. In Forg’s book Watercolor he invited author Arnold Stadler to join him; here, Förg has invited a special literary voice in the novelist Herburger to accompany both him and his work, and the result is a trilogy of texts about phases of the artist’s life. What emerges is a fascinating project – a dialogue between the disciplines by two masters of their art.
