It is as if a roll of chicken wire was cut into 16 equal pieces and distributed over the pages. However, on the back cover is a quote from the German chemist Friedrich August Kekulé (1829-1896) about how he discovered the ring structure of benzene during his stay in Ghent. This gives the repetitive hexagonal structure in the book a completely new, surprising meaning.
